Three years later, he won the American Comedy Award for funniest male stand-up comic.<br \/>In 1995, Jay Leno introduced Carrot Top on the \u201cTonight Show\u201d as \u201cthe comedian taking America by storm.\u201d<br \/>He came out in a dress that converted to pants, and had two trunks of props \u2014 including a pasta strainer to be worn dangling from a belt to dissuade sniffing dogs, and three baseball bats \u201cfor replacement players so they\u2019ll get a hit.\u201d<br \/>Carrot Top\u2019s reception in film and television was mixed.
