PORTLAND, ORE. (KATU) \u2014 <\/span>Many have dubbed Portland "Soccer City USA" and the Rose City is set to prove why as the U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) gears up for a showdown in Seattle where they will take on Australia in their second game of the 2026 World Cup later today at noon.

USA is coming off a dominant 4-1 win over Paraguay in the opening round of the World Cup a week ago.
Despite Portland not be selecting as a host city, soccer fans will have no shortage of watch parties to choose from as several bars in the Portland area are hosting events so people can catch the action locally.
One of the many watch parties will take place at Prost!, a German bier bar located on Mississippi Ave. in North Portland. KATU spoke with co-owner Ted Olin ahead of the game who says he's looking forward to a packed house.
"By 11 a.m. this whole place is going to be full of people," Olin told KATU. "Lots of energy lots of smiles lots of noise it's going to be a really huge party."<\/p>\n

Through a partnership with Nike and Breakside Brewing, the summer-long World Cup watch party at Prost! known as the Soccer Haus has been in full swing since the international soccer tournament began a week ago.
Olin says the watch parties have been a blast.

All eyes will be on USMNT as they take on Australia in their second-group stage matchup of the World Cup in Seattle later on where they have not played since June 2016 when they beat Ecuador in the Copa Am\u00e9rica Centenario Quarterfinal. <\/p>\n
