FRIBOURG, Switzerland – The U.S. Men’s National Team<\/a> battles Canada in quarterfinal action here today at the 2026 IIHF Men’s World Championship<\/a>. Opening faceoff is set for 4:20 p.m. (10:20 a.m. ET\/NHL Network\/NHL YouTube) from BCF Arena.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
The winner moves on to Saturday’s semifinals at Swiss Life Arena in Zurich.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
GAME STATS<\/a>
Team USA is coming off a 4-1 victory on Tuesday (May 26) against Austria, a win it needed to advance to the quarterfinals. The U.S. went 3-1-0-0-3 (W-OTW-OTL-L) in Group A preliminary round play to finish fourth.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
