Alabama softball<\/a> has finally secured a Women\u2019s College World Series berth.
It only took four hours to resume after a pair of weather delays extended the game, but the Crimson Tide<\/a> (54-7) powered through to a 4-1 win over LSU (40-19) on Saturday, May 23 to sweep the NCAA Tuscaloosa Super Regional. Alabama earned a 7-0 shutout<\/a> over the Tigers<\/a> the night before.
Here\u2019s how the Crimson Tide booked its ticket to Oklahoma City.
Alabama softball shut down the seventh inning to secure its Women\u2019s College World Series bid in a 4-1 win over LSU.
The Crimson Tide will face the winner of the Los Angeles Super Regional in Oklahoma City. UCLA run-ruled UCF 9-1 to earn the first win of the series. The second game will begin at 9 p.m. CT Saturday, May 23.
