Kent Farrington of the United States is making the most headlines coming into this finale. Farrington is leading the overall standings after showing out in the first two days of the competition. The first competition on Thursday comprised a 1.60-meter speed test, where Farrington led the pack with a time of 62.03 seconds with the horse Toulayna. The second final competition ended in a similar fashion, but this time Farrington won with Greya, besting a seven-horse jump-off. The duo posted the winning time of the short course at 34.36 seconds. Farrington is aiming for his first career victory in this championship, and it has helped his cause that he has posted no penalties through the first two rounds. The 12-year-old mare Greya has been a standout for a while now, winning 10 Grand Prix events, including seven in 2025.
