But Trump might not have the legal authority to pay TSA without approval from Congress.<br \/>Johnson\u2019s legislative proposal jeopardizes the Senate\u2019s effort to fund the TSA and end extreme delays at airports. He said a House vote would take place \u201cas soon as possible\u201d after it gets through the Rules Committee.<br \/>But even if the bill passes the House, it\u2019s highly unlikely to become law. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., said senators caved by agreeing to leave out money for ICE and CPB.<br \/>\u201cI mean, they got a vacation coming, they\u2019re ready to get the heck out of town. They\u2019re not handling any legislation,\u201d he said of the Senate. \u201cIf this is just some trickery to get them home for a dadgum vacation, then, no, I\u2019d say let\u2019s stay here and work.\u201d<br \/>Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, joined several other right-wing hard-liners in demanding that the Senate-passed DHS bill be amended to add funding for ICE and voter ID provisions.<br \/>\u201cThe Senate acted cowardly last night,\u201d Self said. \u201cThey passed this bill with five members on the floor through UC and then they scurried like rats off.\u201d<br \/>Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., said the Senate-passed bill is \u201cirresponsible\u201d and added that voter identification provisions and parts of ICE funding must be included.<br \/>\u201cThose two things will have to be in,\u201d Norman said.<br \/>Rep. Susie Lee, D-Nev., said Democrats won\u2019t support a bill to fund ICE without constraints on ICE after immigration enforcement agents killed two Americans in Minneapolis.<br \/>\u201cI think we made it very clear, and the American public is demanding some sort of guardrails on an agency that has basically terrorized communities across this country, resulted in the death of two American citizens,\u201d she said. \u201cWe have shone a light on just how rogue ICE was acting.\u201d<br \/>Rep. Tom Suozzi, a moderate Democrat from New York, said Americans are \u201csick\u201d of the back-and-forth over funding the government.<br \/>\u201cThey\u2019re sick of politics. They don\u2019t want this, this finger pointing.
