We\u2019re going to get through this!\u201d<br \/>He then announced each winner individually, creating two awards speeches. Nanjiani joked between speeches, \u201cIronic that the short-film Oscar is going to take twice as long.\u201d<br \/>The award was the first Oscar win and nomination for Piatt and the first win and the second nomination for Davis.<br \/>The \u201cTwo People Exchanging Saliva\u201d team accepted their award second, with Musteata saying: \u201cWe are so happy to be sharing this Oscar with \u2018The Singers.\u2019 We love all of our fellow nominees.\u201d<br \/>The award was Musteata and Singh\u2019s first Oscar nomination and win.<br \/>Singh in his acceptance speech highlighted the diverse team that made the film and stressed that art can \u201cchange people\u2019s souls.\u201d<br \/>\u201cMaybe it takes 10 years\u2019 time, but we can change society through art, through creativity, through theater and ballet and also cinema,\u201d he said to raucous laughter in the crowd.
