Posts were also shared of Punch<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ThePageZ_\/status\/2023329002111312034\" target=\"_blank\"> looking defeated<\/a> with his plush toy next to him. <br \/>As more clips became available online, fans rejoiced when it appeared that Punch finally found some friends and was even groomed by another monkey. <br \/>By Feb. 6, Punch had gradually made connections and interactions with the troop of monkeys, the zoo shared on X. <br \/>The zoo then noted on Feb. 12 that as the days went by, Punch had been interacting with more macaques, yet, per the translation on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ichikawa_zoo\/status\/2021872909808283710\" target=\"_blank\">X<\/a>, \u201cthere are still times when he gets scolded, but while learning the rules of the group.\u201d<br \/>The zoo has also seen an increase in visitors, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ichikawa_zoo\/status\/2022951605306536316\" target=\"_blank\">post on X<\/a> that included a photo of Punch with his stuffed toy and a long line of people at the zoo\u2019s entrance.  <br \/>The Ichikawa Zoo did not immediately respond to TODAY.com and NBC News\u2019 request for comment. <br \/>Amid rise in Punch\u2019s popularity, the hashtag #HangInTherePunch has gone viral, as well. <br \/>Ikea has even expressed their adoration by posting a photo of the orangutan plush toy, or what the company calls \u201cPunch\u2019s comfort orangutan,\u201d that is available at their store. Various Ikea\u2019s Instagram accounts from other countries, like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DU33eipjmI-\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chile<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/stories\/ikeajapan\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">Japan<\/a>, have also shared similar posts. <br \/>People in the comments section expressed their emotions. <br \/>\u201cWe\u2019re ALL Punch\u2019s family now,\u201d the caption reads, with a monkey and crying face emoji, along with the hashtag. <br \/>The photo also reads, \u201cSometimes, family is who we find along the way.\u201d<br \/>Comments on the post include crying emoji, along with people writing, \u201cWe\u2019re not okay,\u201d \u201cPUNCH is uniting the world,\u201d \u201c3 days in a row crying over Punch\u201d and \u201comg!\u201d<br \/>The company also confirmed to TODAY.com that after learning about Punch&#8217;s story, their Ikea Japan team got in touch with the zoo to understand how to support them in the best way.
