President Donald Trump called Today <\/em>show co-host Savannah Guthrie<\/a> to offer words of support as the search continues for her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie.<\/a>
\u201cAfter President Trump’s interview with NBC News, he called Savannah Guthrie, offering words of support for her and her family during the search for her mother,\u201d the White House said in a statement posted Wednesday.<\/a>
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has said Nancy was abducted from her Arizona home, <\/a>where she was last seen Saturday night. Investigators have yet to identify a suspect or person of interest in the case, Nanos said<\/a> Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Arizona news networks KGUN 9<\/a> and KOLD<\/a>, along with TMZ<\/em><\/a>, have reported receiving ransom notes for Nancy. TMZ and KGUN 9 reported that the notes demanded millions of dollars in Bitcoin for her safe return.
When asked about one of the notes that was sent to an Arizona news station, Nanos told CBS News<\/a> he has shown it to Savannah and her family.
\u201cWhen the note comes to us, it\u2019s like any piece of evidence. You give it to us, you give us a lead, we’re going to look at every aspect of that lead,\u201d he said.
Nanos said<\/a> Tuesday his office is \u201caware\u201d of reports about \u201cpossible ransom note(s),\u201d and that investigators are \u201ctaking all tips and leads very seriously.\u201d
Candice DeLong, a former FBI criminal profiler, told CNN\u2019s Jake Tapper Wednesday that Nancy Guthrie\u2019s disappearance is not a \u201ckiddie crime.\u201d
\u201cThis looks to me like it was committed by people that have experience committing other crimes. This is not what we call a kiddie crime,\u201d DeLong said.
Nancy vanished from her Arizona home Saturday night. Police believe she was abducted while she slept.
DeLong said it doesn\u2019t appear to be a kidnapping by a couple of teenagers looking to get some money.
\u201cIf that were the case, I think, something would\u2019ve happened by now,\u201d she told Tapper.
A CNN analyst has reacted to an update in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, in which police said they have \u201cnot identified a suspect or person of interest.\u201d
John Miller, CNN chief law enforcement and intelligence analyst, told TV host Jake Tapper Wednesday that authorities usually only identify a suspect in a case \u201cif there is a compelling reason to or because they need the public\u2019s assistance in locating that person.\u201d
\u201cYou\u2019re not a suspect until you\u2019re named as a suspect, which is usually right before you\u2019re charged \u2014 I don\u2019t think they\u2019re there yet,\u201d Miller added.

NewsNation\u2019s Brian Entin reported Wednesday evening that investigators are putting crime scene tape back up at Nancy Guthrie\u2019s home.
\u201cAbout a dozen sheriff\u2019s deputies and FBI, I think FBI, showed up here,\u201d Entin said in a video<\/a> posted to X.
There were also K9s and search teams on the Arizona property, according to Entin. Nancy vanished from her home in the Catalina Foothills on Saturday night.
\u201cWe don\u2019t really know what\u2019s going on because it\u2019s been quiet here for the last couple of days, but now, clearly, they are about to do something at the house,\u201d Entin said.

Her spacious brick house is separated from neighbors, with desert vegetation partially blocking the street view, the Associated Press<\/a> reports.
The AP said her neighborhood appears to have little street lighting at night.
Nancy was taken from her while she slept, according to local authorities.

Trump called the case \u201cterrible\u201d as he spoke to reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday. Earlier that day, the White House shared a plea for information on Nancy\u2019s whereabouts.
\u201cThe search for Savannah Guthrie\u2019s mother, Nancy Guthrie, is ongoing, and authorities are requesting assistance from the public. Anyone with information is urged to contact 911. Our prayers are with the Guthrie family as we hope for Nancy\u2019s safe return home,\u201d the White House said in a statement<\/a>.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told The New York Times<\/em><\/a> that \u201ctime is not on our side\u201d as he spoke about the search for Nancy Guthrie.
This comes after he warned of potentially \u201cfatal\u201d consequences if Nancy doesn\u2019t have access to her daily medication.
The search has been ongoing for four days. Police have yet to identify a suspect or person of interest, Nanos said Wednesday.
