The Carmel Christkindlmarkt in Indiana placed first and the El Paso WinterFest in Texas placed second.<br \/>The Old World Christmas Market <a href=\/story\/news\/local\/2024\/12\/06\/usa-today-readers-rank-elkhart-lakes-old-world-christmas-market-best-holiday-market\/76802046007\/ target=_blank rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-t-l=:b|e|k|\u2691u class=gnt_ar_b_a>placed first last year<\/a> and fifth in 2023.<br \/>The German-inspired Christkindlesmarkt has been hosted at the resort for 27 years, with vendors selling unique artisan goods, like Czech blown-glass ornaments, Russian nesting dolls, and German hand-carved smokers and nutcrackers.
