President Donald Trump<\/a> announced he has signed the bill<\/a> to force the Justice Department<\/a> to release all of its files related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/a> within 30 days.
Trump made the declaration in a Truth Social<\/a> post Wednesday night in which he continued to insist the whole affair was a Democrat \u201choax.\u201d
\u201cDemocrats<\/a> have used the \u2018Epstein\u2019 issue, which affects them far more than the Republican Party, in order to try and distract from our AMAZING Victories,\u201d he complained.
After the House voted 427-1 to approve the Epstein Transparency Act <\/a>Tuesday, Senate<\/a> Minority Leader Chuck Schumer<\/a> requested unanimous consent to immediately pass it<\/a> upon arrival in the upper chamber, which was granted.
Trump\u2019s base has come close to tearing itself apart over the scandal, with right-wing broadcasters Alex Jones<\/a> and Joe Rogan<\/a> warning of a \u201cMAGA<\/a> civil war.\u201d
On Thursday morning, Trump lashed out at a group of Democratic lawmakers who, in a recent video, called for American service members to uphold their oaths to the Constitution.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump accused Sens. Elissa Slotkin and Mark Kelly, as well as several House Democrats, of having engaged in \u201cseditious behavior at the highest level.<\/a>\u201d He called them \u201ctraitors to our country\u201d who should be \u201carrested and put on trial.\u201d

He didn\u2019t say whether or not he had received an invite to Cheney\u2019s funeral, which is being held today at the Washington National Cathedral.

The service, set to take place at Washington National Cathedral today, will be attended by several former presidents.
Cheney, who died earlier this month, publicly criticized Trump in a 2022 campaign ad for his daughter Liz Cheney, then a Wyoming congresswoman.
