The Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> staved off elimination and forced a winner-take-all Game 7 in the 2025 ALCS with a 6-2 win over the Seattle Mariners<\/a> in Game 6 on Sunday night.<\/strong>
Toronto capitalized on back-to-back Seattle errors to start the scoring in the second, then got home runs from Addison Barger<\/a> and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to extend the lead. The Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays will battle for a World Series date with the Los Angeles Dodgers, after the Jays pushed the series the distance with a 6-2 win in Sunday\u2019s Game 6. Trey Yesavage pitched into the sixth inning and the Jays tacked on five early runs against Logan Gilbert to extend the series.
Monday night\u2019s series finale will be the second Game 7 in Blue Jays\u2019 history and their first in 40 years, since a loss to the Kansas City Royals at home to end the 1985 ALCS. The Mariners, meanwhile, will play the first Game 7 in franchise history, leaving the Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres as the only teams to never play a winner-take-all Game 7.

Cal Raleigh<\/strong> should have eaten that one. The running throw there looked dangerous to everyone watching that play out. The Mariners' have made a bunch of mental mistakes today, in the biggest game of their 49-year history. That was huge insurance.<\/p>\n
