Leaders are gathering for the Gaza deal signing ceremony in Sharm el-Sheikh.
Donald Trump, who is hosting the ceremony, says the peace deal will “spell out rules, regulations” and is “very comprehensive”.
On the return of Israeli bodies from Gaza, Trump says “they’re being sorted out”, adding: “They’re working out to find out where those bodies are.”

The host of today’s summit, Egypt, has long played a “quiet role” in Donald Trump’s push for peace in Gaza, says our military analyst Michael Clarke<\/a><\/b>. 
But the country and its leader, Abdel Fattah al Sisi, are stepping into the limelight, drawing praise from the US president himself during their bilateral meeting a short while ago.
“Al-Sisi will get a lot of prestige out of this, not just internally, but on the global stage as well,” says Clarke, giving credit to Egypt for the most recent war diplomacy.
He also tells our chief presenter Mark Austin<\/a><\/b> that he is more sceptical about the outcome of the summit in Sharm el-Sheikh and the peace process after Trump’s “amusing and disappointing” appearance at the Knesset today.

After individually greeting each leader on stage in Sharm el-Sheikh, Donald Trump is joined by all the world leaders and dignitaries in Egypt for a family photo.
“It’s really a very, very important moment here for all these leaders,” says US correspondent Mark Stone<\/a>.
“This is the beginning of the next step of what will be a very, very difficult process. What an extraordinary day.”
Here are the moments huge crowds gathered in the West Bank to welcome home Palestinian prisoners from Israel.
Hundreds gathered outside the Ramallah Palace of Culture to greet the prisoners, as they raced to hug their loved ones.
As part of the hostage and prisoner exchange, Israel is expected to free 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 Gazans detained after the October 7 attacks.
Donald Trump has taken centre stage today, first in Israel when he addressed the Knesset and now in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The US president is standing on a red-carpet stage, and world leaders are coming up one by one to take a photo with him.
Among those to have joined him so far are Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and European leaders Emmanuel Macron, Giorgia Meloni, Sir Keir Starmer and Friedrich Merz.
Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban have also appeared on stage, as has FIFA boss Gianni Infantino.

Among heads of states and governments, there might seem an unexpected figure at the peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh: FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
But the Swiss-Italian boss of football’s governing body has honed a strong bond with Donald Trump.
During the first presidential term in 2020, Infantino was invited to the White House for the signing ceremony for the Abraham Accords, normalising relations between Israel and several Arab countries.
Infantino faced pressure to do more to leverage football’s position to end the Israel-Hamas war but said sport “cannot solve geopolitical problems”.
There had been a growing clamour in European football for Israeli teams to be suspended.
But the push for a vote collapsed after Sky News revealed the Trump administration would intervene to stop Israel being banned from football<\/a> and the peace talks gathered pace.
Before receiving the invite to Egypt, there was an unsuccessful late intervention by Infantino lobbying on his friend’s behalf last week.
Infantino posted on Instagram: “President Donald J. Trump definitely deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his decisive actions.”
Few non-Americans have such close proximity to the president or are at the White House so often.
The World Cup trophy is even there ahead of the 2026 tournament, hand-delivered. Infantino said the version was for “for winners only… and, since you are a winner, of course you can as well”.
Now, you wouldn’t rule out Infantino proposing a peace match between Israel and Palestine.

The Israeli military says the remains of two dead hostages have been handed over to the Red Cross in Gaza.
It says the transfer of two more coffins “will continue”, adding that Hamas “is required to comply with the agreement and make the necessary efforts to return all the fallen”.
Earlier, Hamas’s armed al-Qassam Brigades said the bodies of four hostages would be handed over today as part of the prisoner exchange with Israel.
That prompted criticism from Israel, with its defence minister Israel Katz accusing Hamas of showing a “failure to meet commitments”.
Under the Trump peace plan, Hamas was required to release all hostages, alive and dead, within 72 hours of the end of the fighting – a deadline that expired around noon today. 
Hamas has indicated that recovering the bodies of some dead hostages may take longer, as not all burial sites are known. 
Trump, speaking in Sharm el-Sheikh alongside Egypt’s president, was just asked about the “next steps” for Gaza.
He said: “They’re going and looking for bodies. It’s a pretty gruesome task. They know where numbers are. I guess five or six are in now. 
“They’re looking for bodies. They know the areas. They’re going to be finding quite a few of them.”
In his Knesset speech earlier today, the US president suggested that he can make some kind of deal with Iran.
He doubles down on that now as he speaks in Sharm el-Sheikh alongside Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah al Sisi, saying that Iran “wants to make a deal.”
“I think Iran will come along; they’ve been battered and bruised,” Trump says. 
“They need some help, they have big sanctions as you know… I’d love to take the sanctions off when they’re ready to talk.”
He also adds: “Frankly, if we didn’t hit them on the nuclear, I don’t think you would have been able to have this incredible once-in-a-lifetime deal.”
“Iran did put out a statement that they support this deal very wholeheartedly,” Trump notes.
When a reporter asks when talks on implementing the second part of his peace plan would begin, Trump says that they have already started “as far as we’re concerned”.
“The phases are all a little bit mixed in with each other,” he says.
Donald Trump has been joined by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al Sisi for the short ride to the conference hall in Sharm el-Sheikh.
They are riding in the US presidential state car, nicknamed “The Beast”.
“This morning it was Netanyahu inside the beast,” US correspondent Mark Stone<\/a> says.
“A month or two ago, it was Vladimir Putin. And now it’s President Sisi… to be a fly on that window.”
