Footage shows protests erupting across the world after Israel intercepted a Gaza-bound aid flotilla.
South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa<\/b> 
Israel’s interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla was a “grave offence” against “global solidarity and sentiment that is aimed at relieving suffering in Gaza”.
Ramaphosa called on Israel to immediately release South Africans and others, including liberation hero Nelson Mandela’s grandson, Nkosi Zwelivelile Mandela. 
Palestinian foreign ministry<\/b>
A Palestinian foreign ministry spokesperson condemned the interception of the flotilla as a violation of international law, asserting that Israel had neither authority nor sovereignty over Palestinian “territorial waters”.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro<\/b>
“If this information is true, there is a new international crime by Netanyahu.”
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim<\/b>
“By blocking a humanitarian mission, Israel has shown utter contempt not only for the rights of the Palestinian people but also for the conscience of the world.

An MP says he’s “deeply worried” for the safety of an RAF veteran on board the Gaza aid flotilla.
Tunbridge Wells representative Mike Martin has asked the Foreign Office to urgently clarify its support for Global Sumud Flotilla passengers.
Israel has intercepted the majority of its boats attempting to bring food and medicine to the people of Gaza.
Martin said he’s received messages from constituents with “grave concerns” for Tunbridge Wells resident Malcolm Ducker.
“I’m deeply worried for the safety of Mr Ducker and we urgently need the Foreign Office to clarify what support and protection it is able to offer British Nationals aboard the flotilla.
“Israel has a painful record of violating international law by attacking humanitarian aid flotillas in international waters and our Government must be prepared for all eventualities.”
Greece says 39 flotilla boats are being transported to the Israeli port of Ashdod, but there’s some discrepancy in the numbers.
The Global Sumud Flotilla’s tracking site says 13 of its 44 vessels are still sailing toward Gaza.
One, named Mikeno, appears to be nearing the Gaza coast, according to the tracking map.
Pictures taken by Reuters in Ashdod show an Israeli navy vessel arriving.
The British government is “very concerned” about Israel’s interception of the international aid flotilla bound for Gaza, the Foreign Office says.
It said it had contacted Israel to make clear the situation should be resolved safely. 
Organisers of Global Sumud Flotilla, which is transporting medicine and food to Gaza, said Israeli navy forces stopped several of its boats using “active aggression”. 
“We are very concerned about the situation with the Sumud flotilla, we are in touch with the families of a number of British nationals involved,” the Foreign Office says.
“The aid carried by the flotilla should be turned over to humanitarian organisations on the ground to be delivered safely into Gaza.”
A young mother who has lost three children during the war is fighting to save her remaining daughter, a two-year-old cancer patient deprived of vital medical care.
The children’s hospital treating Etra shut down last month during Israel’s latest offensive in Gaza City.
Nancy Abu Matrou, 22, lost twins in September after she gave birth prematurely while fleeing Israeli bombardment.
“We are just asking for a shelter,” Abu Matroud said. “I don’t want to lose the daughter I still have.”
Father Faraj al-Ghalayini, 53, said: “What is our fault? We have nothing to do with this. What is the fault of our children?”
A deadly mix of disease, displacement, lack of medical care and malnutrition has beset most Gazan families, but the turmoil has placed a particular burden on young children and pregnant women.
“There is an increase in the number of babies who are born premature,” according to Jonathan Crickx, a spokesperson for UNICEF State of Palestine.
“The incubators needed to keep the baby in a protective environment… the ventilators that help them to develop their lungs, all of this equipment is not available in sufficient quantities today in the Gaza Strip.”
Intercepted aid flotilla passengers are being transported to Israel, according to its foreign ministry.
It said they would then be deported to Europe.

Protests have erupted around the world after Israel’s interception of Greta Thunberg’s aid flotilla.
The Global Sumud Flotilla was carrying supplies to war-ravaged Gaza, in parts of which famine has been declared.
People took to the streets in solidarity with the flotilla in Italy, Spain, Colombia and Argentina to name a few.
Dozens of boats that are part of the Global Sumud Flotilla are continuing to sail towards Gaza.
Israeli forces stopped 20 vessels last night carrying foreign activists and supplies, as well as the most prominent of the flotilla’s passengers, Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg.
But 23 boats are still attempting to break Israel’s blockade, according to the Flotilla Tracker website.
On departure, the Global Sumud Flotilla was carrying 500 parliamentarians, lawyers and activists.
Organisers denounced the raid, which took place 70 nautical miles from Gaza, as a “war crime”.
Early this morning, they said the remaining boats were 46 nautical miles away from their destination.
The flotilla is the latest seaborne attempt to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza, much of which has been turned into a wasteland by almost two years of war.
