I was hoping you may be generous enough to provide a more extensive medal table.<br \/><strong>&#8211; Old timer<\/strong><br \/>Hi Old timer.<br \/>For you, anything.<br \/>Here&#x27;s the top 10, with the<b> USA<\/b> in the lead, <b>Kenya<\/b> second and <b>Canada <\/b>third.<br \/>Shout out to fourth-placed <b>New Zealand<\/b> with their two gold medals so far.<br \/>Here&#x27;s 11-20.<br \/>And here are 21-30, featuring the <b>Aussies<\/b>, who are in 22nd.<br \/>By Simon Smale<br \/><b>&#8211; Reuters<\/b><br \/>Australian discus king <b>Matt Denny<\/b> is chasing his first world championships medal in Tokyo and will do it alongside the man he regards as both the benchmark and a drinking buddy: world record holder <b>Mykolas Alekna<\/b>.<br \/>Denny and the 22-year-old Lithuanian took the sport to new heights <a class=\"Link_link__5eL5m ScreenReaderOnly_srLinkHint__OysWz Link_showVisited__C1Fea Link_showFocus__ALyv2\" href=\"\/news\/2025-04-11\/matt-denny-nears-discus-world-record\/105167792\" data-component=\"Link\">with the benefit of tailwinds at an event in Ramona, Oklahoma, in April<\/a> and will battle again at Tokyo National Stadium this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We&#x27;re vicious competitors and there&#x27;s banter \u2014 but we&#x27;re not vicious in tongue,&quot; Denny told Reuters of his relationship with Alekna.<br \/>&quot;He&#x27;s a good kid. He was very quiet when he first hit the Diamond Leagues [DL], but I&#x27;ve brought him out of his shell a bit.<br \/>&quot;We went out after the Brussels DL, had a few beers \u2014 fun night. Some guys mix, some don&#x27;t.
