Country singers Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock appeared to get into a heated altercation at an Oklahoma music festival over the weekend.
Adcock shared a video on Instagram <\/a>showing Bryan appearing to yell, \u201cHey, want to fight like a man?\u201d and bang on a chain-link fence toward Adcock and his crew on Saturday at the Born & Raised Festival in Pryor.
In the clip, Bryan appeared agitated as he spoke to Adcock, who was surrounded by several people. After banging on the fence, Bryan walked away. \u201cWhen you get death threats from Sack Cryin before you headline in his hometown,\u201d Adcock captioned the video.
Another video<\/a> on social media showed Bryan scaling the wire fence to get to Adcock\u2019s side.
On Sunday, Adcock explained his side of what happened in that heated exchange.
He said in his Instagram video that Bryan had been at the festival all day with multiple security guards, but came around to Adcock just before his set.
\u201cBefore my set I was standing outside, he pulls up in a pickup truck outside the gate and starts giving out threats, so I just decided to stir him up to the point where he jumped over the fence,\u201d Adcock said.
\u201cHe knew where I was all day. He knew my set time. He knew where I\u2019d be standing, and he created this whole \u2018I\u2019m badass jump over the fence\u2019 narrative, just to try to make himself look bigger or tougher, even though he could have just walked on in the gate,\u201d Adcock continued. \u201cI didn\u2019t take the Zach Bryan bait, and I\u2019ll be praying for him to get better because he sure needs it.\u201d
Adcock said he didn\u2019t engage further with Bryan because he didn\u2019t want to get into a fight before performing and didn\u2019t want to disappoint his fans.
NBC News has reached out to representatives for Bryan for comment.
The two stars have been in an ongoing feud.
Back in July, Adcock appeared to call out Bryan for how he treated a teenage fan.
\u201cIf you can\u2019t handle the criticism of a 14 year old why do people idolize you?\u201d Adcock wrote on X<\/a> at the time. \u201cThat kid was head over heels to meet you and spent\/ parents spent a ton of money to see you.\u201d
Adcock addressed those comments on Rolling Stone\u2019s \u201cNashville Now\u201d<\/a> podcast in August, saying, \u201cIt wasn\u2019t about not wanting to sign autographs after a show. It\u2019s like letting a 14-year-old kid rant without saying \u2018Get off my d—.\u2019 You\u2019re bigger than that.\u201d
