Volodymyr Zelensky<\/a> is prepared to cede Russian-held territory as part of a peace deal, according to reports.

The deal could mean handing Russia control of the territory it occupies in Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Crimea.
Mr Zelensky\u2019s softened stance comes as Mr Trump and Mr Putin are set to meet for crunch talks in Alaska<\/a> on Friday, which the US president described as a \u201cfeel-out meeting\u201d.
\u201cSo I’m going in to speak to Vladimir Putin, and I’m going to be telling him, you’ve got to end this war. You’ve got to end it,\u201d Mr Trump said.
Asked about Mr Zelensky wanting to attend, Mr Trump added: \u201cI would say he could go, but he\u2019s gone to a lot of meetings, he\u2019s been there for three and a half years and nothing happened.\u201d
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he spoke with Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and thanked him for his “readiness to make efforts for peace”.
“Communication with leaders is ongoing practically around the clock \u2013 we are in constant touch,” he wrote on X. “Now is the moment when there is a real chance to achieve peace.”
