\u00a0<\/strong>\u2018World News Tonight\u2019 Is the #1 Newscast for the 9th Season in a Row Leading NBC by Largest Viewership in 30 Years and CBS in 4 Years \u2013 and Is #1 in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 for 6th Season Straight Increasing Margins by Double Digits vs. NBC and CBS<\/strong>
\u201cWorld News Tonight with David Muir\u201d stood as the No. 1 program of the week in Total Viewers <\/strong>(7.248 million) on all of broadcast and cable <\/strong>(excluding sports) during the week of June 9, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. \u201cWorld News Tonight\u201d has been the No. 1 most-watched program on television for the 5th consecutive week <\/strong>(with and without sports).
NOTE: On Wednesday (6\/11\/25) and Friday (6\/13\/25), \u201cWorld News Tonight\u201d was retitled to \u201cWNT-ABC\u201d due to ABC\u2019s coverage of Game 3 and Game 4, respectively, of the NBA Finals. In addition, on Friday, \u201cNBC Nightly News\u201d was coded as a breakout and was retitled to \u201cNBC Nitely News\u201d due to coverage of U.S. Open Golf. The retitled and breakout telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. ABC\u2019s weekly averages are based on three days (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), while NBC\u2019s weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
