Musk, for his part, announced he would &quot;begin decommissioning&quot; SpaceX\u2019s Dragon spacecraft, which NASA has used to ferry astronauts to and from the International Space Station. <br \/>Many of SpaceX&#x27;s contracts are for classified projects, so it is difficult to determine the exact total value. But it is estimated to be in the tens of billions.<br \/>In the 2024 fiscal year alone, SpaceX received <b class=\"ssrcss-cgjb6m-Keyword e2vephq0\">$3.8bn (\u00a32.8bn),<\/b> according to government records.<br \/>Gwynne Shotwell, president and COO of SpaceX, has said the company has about <b class=\"ssrcss-cgjb6m-Keyword e2vephq0\">$22bn (\u00a316bn) in government contracts<\/b>, as the BBC has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cpd46266vgdo\" class=\"ssrcss-f6h2dj-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\">previously reported<\/a>.
