The five have pleaded not guilty to one count each of sexual assault.\u00a0McLeod has also\u00a0pleaded not guilty to a charge of being party to the offence.<br \/>Raddysh&#8217;s testimony ended early and is expected to resume today as CBC continues its\u00a0<a href=https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/london\/livestory\/recap-nhl-player-testifies-about-group-chat-learning-of-investigation-into-world-junior-teammates-9.6742726 target=_blank rel=noreferrer title=https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/london\/livestory\/recap-nhl-player-testifies-about-group-chat-learning-of-investigation-into-world-junior-teammates-9.6742726 class=\"sc-14vv9n6-0 sc-14vv9n6-1 eCrZOe\">live coverage<!-- -->\u00a0<svg aria-hidden=true class=\"sc-1wkqf77-0 itNREL\" height=12 width=12><use xlink:href=\/rci\/svg\/rc-rci-icons.svg#svg-external-link><\/use><\/svg><span class=\"sc-xbpugm-0 goTMks\">(new window)<\/span><\/a>.<br \/>Under examination by Crown attorney Meaghan Cunningham,\u00a0Raddysh\u00a0spoke about how he felt making\u00a0the world junior squad.\u00a0<br \/><q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>As a kid, you really want to be part of that team,<\/span><\/q> he said.<br \/>The world junior team&#8217;s captain, Dub\u00e9, was tasked with being a leader <q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>on and off the ice,<\/span><\/q> Raddysh said, a role requiring him to\u00a0<q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>lead by example.<\/span><\/q>\u00a0<br \/>Raddysh was the second witness Wednesday, after London police Det. Tiffany Waque, who showed videos of the group of men dancing together and with E.M., the complainant in the case whose identity is protected by a publication ban.<br \/>At one point in the surveillance video taken early\u00a0into June 19, 2018, at Jack&#8217;s bar, Dub\u00e9\u00a0is seen taking off his shirt. In another, he picks up E.M. as she straddles him on the dance floor.\u00a0<br \/>E.M. is seen having her ponytail pulled by one of the players on the dance floor\u00a0and her buttocks\u00a0slapped. She dances with McLeod and others.\u00a0<br \/>In one of the videos taken at the bar by McLeod\u00a0using his phone\u00a0at 1:21 that morning,\u00a0the players are dancing and singing to\u00a0<em>Hey Baby<\/em>\u00a0by DJ \u00d6tzi. The\u00a0song\u00a0was played whenever a\u00a0goal was scored during the 2018 world junior hockey tournament the Canadian team won months earlier, the jury was told.\u00a0<br \/>Justice Maria Carroccia, who&#8217;s\u00a0overseeing the case, cautioned jurors they can&#8217;t draw conclusions from seeing\u00a0E.M. kiss McLeod or having other <q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>physical interactions<\/span><\/q> with players.<br \/>The law restricts how prior sexual conduct can be used by a jury, Carroccia\u00a0told them.<br \/>She said jurors can use her actions in the dance floor\u00a0to help assess E.M.&#8217;s state of mind as the evening progressed, and her level of intoxication and her credibility, but they can&#8217;t use what she did on the dance floor to determine whether the men are guilty or not guilty.<br \/><q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>You can&#8217;t think that because of the sexual nature of what happened at Jack&#8217;s that she is more likely to have consented to the sexual activity or that E.M. is less worthy of belief,<\/span><\/q> Carroccia said.\u00a0Inferences like that are based on myths that can&#8217;t be considered by the jury, she added.\u00a0<br \/>The jury was also shown surveillance videos from the lobby of the Delta Armouries hotel&#8217;s bar, with groups of players arriving at different points in the early hours of June 19.\u00a0<br \/>Someone suggests going to a strip club,\u00a0then some time later, McLeod texts the team group chat, asking, <q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>Who wants to be in a 3-way quick,<\/span><\/q> signed <q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>(room) 209- mikey.<\/span><\/q><br \/>Someone using Hart&#8217;s phone replies, <q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>I&#8217;m in.<\/span><\/q><br \/>Eleven players are\u00a0in the group chat, court was told:\u00a0Hart, Foote, Dub\u00e9, McLeod, Formenton, Jake Bean,\u00a0Maxime Comtois, Drake\u00a0Batherson, Tyler\u00a0Steenbergen, Brett Howden and Sam Steel.<br \/>A little later, Raddysh\u00a0receives\u00a0a group message from McLeod, asking him if wants to come to McLeod&#8217;s room for oral sex. Raddysh doesn&#8217;t reply.\u00a0<br \/>The jury also saw two videos from McLeod&#8217;s phone that were taken at the end of the night.<br \/>In the first, timestamped 3:25 a.m., E.M. is clothed and could\u00a0be heard being asked if she is <q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>OK\u00a0with all this stuff,<\/span><\/q> and she responds, <q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>Yeah, I&#8217;m OK.<\/span><\/q><br \/>In the second video, at 4:26 a.m., E.M., wearing no clothing, is\u00a0holding a towel in front of her chest.<br \/>She says, <q><span lang=fr title=Fran\u00e7ais>It was all consensual. Are you recording me? K, good. You are so paranoid. Holy. I enjoyed it. It was fine. I&#8217;m so sober \u2014 that&#8217;s why I can&#8217;t do this right now.<\/span><\/q><br \/>Raddysh testified he didn&#8217;t\u00a0remember much from that night. He came home from Jack&#8217;s,\u00a0and went to his hotel room and Facetimed with his girlfriend.
