Snooker's fabled "Class of 92" is still going strong, with two of its three most famous graduates having already booked their places in the World Championship quarter-finals.
Mark Williams, 50, will face 49-year-old John Higgins in the next round. Williams came through a tough test against Hossein Vafaei, while Higgins proved once again why he is absolute granite on a snooker table by winning a deciding frame against Xiao Guodong.
After his win, Higgins told the BBC: "It was different maybe 20-odd years ago when we were really big rivals – now we walk into the practice room and we give each other a nod as if to say: 'How are we still here competing with everybody?'
"It's incredible, and obviously you throw Ronnie into the mix as well – three special players."

Ronnie O'Sullivan was in superb form to complete his first-round victory over Ali Carter earlier this week. He could not quite match that display on Saturday, but 'The Rocket' still leads Pang Junxu 6-2 and is a strong favourite to reach the quarter-finals.

Ronnie O'Sullivan holds a commanding lead after Saturday's first session against Chinese qualifier Pang Junxu.
The seven-time champion won the first four frames and ended 6-2 in front.
Pang had his chances, but was punished for his misses. It is a lesson he will need to have learned overnight, otherwise his hopes of a first Crucible quarter-final could be over fairly quickly.
As for O'Sullivan, he'll hope to be as close as possible to the winning post of 13 frames before Monday evening's conclusion.

Performance of the World Championship so far? Luca Brecel was in sensational form in the first session of his second-round match against Ding Junhui.
Ding made a superb 141 break in the first frame but managed only 15 more points in the next seven as the 2023 world champion stormed into a 7-1 lead.
Brecel was simply brilliant, knocking in two centuries and four more breaks of 50 or more. No wonder Ding looked pretty non-plussed…

World number one Judd Trump took a 5-3 lead in his World Championship last-16 tie with fellow former world champion Shaun Murphy, but narrowly missed a chance to move closer to winning a \u00a3100,000 bonus.
Trump, 35, fought back from 2-0 and 3-2 down, winning the last three frames of the session, but, when on 98 in frame eight, missed a pot on the yellow that would have given him a century break.
He has made 98 centuries this season and is the only player who could get to one hundred tons this term, something that would earn him a \u00a3100,000 prize.
Trump will have another eight frames to play later on Sunday as the match resumes at 19:00 BST, before the final session on Monday from 13:00 BST, in the best-of-25 match.
Only two players have made a hundred century breaks in one campaign – Neil Robertson in 2013-14 with 103 and Trump himself with 102 in 2019-20.
On the other table, Zhao Xintong completed victory against Lei Peifan to set up a quarter-final with fellow qualifier Chris Wakelin.

A delighted Zhao Xintong has just been speaking to the media after his 13-10 win over Lei Peifan.
"I'm so happy, that's the first time into the quarter-finals and I'm so proud of myself," he said. "In the first round he [Lei] came back against Kyren Wilson so I knew I wasn't ready to win and I needed to be strong.
"I just want to go through the Crucible and I need to try my best and enjoy it as it is very nice, the crowd is nice and I want to stay longer. This is my first time to play Chris Wakelin, I know he is really good player."
On potentially becoming world champion, he said: "It's a dream for every snooker player, if I do that I would be really happy."
On what winning the world title would do to Chinese snooker, he replied: "It would be very good for Chinese snooker. Now Chinese snooker is stronger and has a lot of young Chinese players starting."
