COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – An investigation is underway following a fatal auto\/pedestrian crash near the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
The City of Colorado Springs first reported the crash at Bob Johnson Drive and Willwood Road at approximately noon on Thursday. The city said Willwood Road is closed just south of Bob Johnson Drive. CSPD said the other end of Bob Johnson Drive is also closed at Venetucci Boulevard.
CSPD says a charter bus hit a Broadmoor employee. The department said the bus had been there for an event at the ice rink, but besides the driver, no one else was onboard.
KRDO13 reached out to Arrow Stage Lines, who told us, “We have no comment at this time.”
CSPD’s Major Crash Team has responded to the scene.
