Online graduate programs in business make significant strides
UMass Dartmouth’s online programs<\/a> are among the nation’s best in eight categories, according to the 2025 <\/span>U.S. News & World Report<\/span><\/em> rankings released today.<\/span>
The university’s online bachelor’s programs ranked 96<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> overall among 350 qualifying universities. In a separate distinction rec<\/span>ognizing support for student veterans, these programs were ranked 54<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> in the nation, highlighting the university’s commitment to helping student veterans reduce the cost of higher education.<\/span>
“These achievements underscore UMass Dartmouth’s commitment to accessible, high-quality education designed for today’s online learners,” said Assistant Vice Chancellor of UMassD Online, David Pedro<\/a>. “With innovative programs, exceptional faculty, and strong student support, UMassD Online empowers students to achieve their goals while balancing personal and professional commitments.”<\/span>

The Charlton College of Business maintained its elite status, with online bachelor’s in business programs ranking in the top 10% of U.S. programs, placing 22<\/span>nd<\/span><\/sup> overall and 2<\/span>nd<\/span><\/sup>–highest in New England.<\/span>
UMass Dartmouth’s online graduate business programs showed significant growth. The online MBA<\/a> climbed 11 spots to rank 75<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> overall, while online master’s programs in <\/span>accounting<\/a><\/span>, <\/span>healthcare management<\/a><\/span>,<\/span> and <\/span>technology management<\/a><\/span> improved 14 places to rank 44<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> among non-MBA graduate business programs. Both rankings place these programs in the top 22% of their respective categories.<\/span>
For student veterans, Charlton’s online MBA ranked 44<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup>, a 12-spot improvement, in recognition of efforts to reduce tuition costs and support systems for those who have served.<\/span>

The <\/span>College of Engineering<\/a><\/span>‘s online <\/span>master’s in computer science<\/a><\/span> program earned high marks in U.S. News’ information technology distinction—a ranking that assesses online master’s programs in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, information technology, and software engineering—ranking 45<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> in the nation and the 3<\/span>rd<\/span><\/sup>–highest among New England universities.<\/span>
The <\/span>College of Nursing and Health Sciences<\/a><\/span>‘ online <\/span>master’s in nursing<\/a><\/span> <\/span>rose six spots from 2<\/span>024 to rank 30<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> out of 198 eligible U.S. programs. The program ties UMass Amherst as the 2<\/span>nd<\/span><\/sup>-highest ranked in New England.<\/span>
