AUSTIN – The “World’s Largest Cowboy Hat” is now in Central Texas.
The hat comes to the Circuit Of The Americas race track in time for the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix next Sunday.
The hat, a to-scale recreation of Tecovas’ own Cattleman Cowboy Hat, was officially certified by the Guinness World Records team onsite at the track today.
The hat is 43’ wide x 47’ long x 17’ tall (hat structure, not including piers).
It’s made of fiberglass and foam around a steel frame.
The fiberglass is textured to replicate that of the Tecovas Cattleman hat and the paint is color matched to their natural shade.
The hat features the COTA signature track outline to look like an iron brand that they imprint on all of our COTA Cowboy hats and Tecovas branding matched to look like an iron brand.
It also features a hat band and steel horseshoe charm.
