McDonald’s is leaning into the FIFA 2026 World Cup hype with a new limited-time meal — and it’s already drawing attention from fans chasing the collectibles as much as the food. Here’s what to know and how to get it.
Starting today, Thursday, June 4, the McDonald’s menu features the FIFA World Cup 26 Meal, which comes with one of nine collectible cups featuring soccer stars such as current USMNT’s Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, and Ronaldinho, along with McDonald’s mascot Grimace.
The promotion gives customers a choice of a Big Mac or Chicken McNuggets, paired with a limited-edition version of McDonald’s signature sauce and for younger fans, the chain is launching a World Cup-themed Happy Meal with one of 23 Squishmallows plushies, including versions of the World Cup mascots, part of a broader push into collectible merchandise tied to the tournament. A breakfast lineup will include Sausage McMuffin with Egg or Sausage Egg Biscuit and Hash Browns.
The campaign marks one of McDonald’s biggest World Cup promotions yet, part of a global rollout across more than 100 markets as the tournament approaches.
“As football icons take the field to unite fans across continents, McDonald’s will be there from the first whistle to the final minute with limited-time meals and keepsakes so fans of all ages can be part of the excitement all tournament long and beyond,” Morgan Flatley, Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of New Business Ventures at McDonald’s, said in the news release.

For the younger fans, the FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meal will include one of 23 Squishmallows plushies, including the official mascots for FIFA World Cup 26, representing the three host countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Kitted in unique soccer-inspired jerseys and McDonald’s graphics.
Every Squishmallows Happy Meal will come in special packaging and include a scannable code that unlocks an exclusive digital game on www.happymeal.com, according to McDonald’s, noting that a portion of every FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meal purchased in the US helps support Ronald McDonald House families.
The FIFA World Cup 26 Meal with limited-edition collectable cups will be available starting today, Thursday June 4, 2026, however the FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meal will not roll out until June 9.
The collectibles will be available at participating McDonald’s until supplies run out.
