Mr Trump also says he will sign an executive order on day one ordering all federal departments to scrap any “burdensome” regulations that are contributing to
He says these measures indicate that he will save the typical American household $7,000 per year, but doesn’t share how that figure was calculated or where it came from.

Kamala Harris’s campaign has rejected claims by Donald Trump of widespread election fraud in the swing state of Pennsylvania.
The campaign said the system was working as it should to identify a small number of routine issues arising.
“All of this is cheating only in the mind of someone who wants to claim he was cheated, and it’s yet another example of how Donald Trump tries to sow doubt in our elections and institutions when he’s afraid he can’t win,” the campaign said.
“He wants to lay the groundwork now to claim the election was stolen.”
Donald Trump starts his rally by saying that his advisers told him not to come.
“‘You can’t win New Mexico’, they said, and I said ‘your votes are rigged – we can win New Mexico’,” he says to applause.
“We almost won it twice – I believe we won it twice,” he said, referring to previous elections in 2016 and 2020.
In 2020, Joe Biden won New Mexico, taking the highest vote share of any candidate since 2008, while Hillary Clinton won in 2016 with 48.3% of the vote to Mr Trump’s 40%.
Mr Trump also claims if “God” was counting the votes, he could win New Mexico and even California – considered one of the safest Democrat seats anywhere in the country.
“Keep the votes fair,” he says, continuing his campaign of falsely claiming the previous election was “rigged”.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban says he held a phone call with Donald Trump and “wished him the best of luck” for the election on Tuesday.
“Only five days to go. Fingers crossed,” Mr Orban wrote in a post to X.
Mr Trump regularly praises Mr Orban during his speeches, reminding supporters that the autocratic leader – who has cozied up with Russia and China – sees the former president as a respected and feared leader in the world.
For his part, Mr Orban has described Mr Trump as a better option for Europe during his presidential battle with Hillary Clinton in 2016, and was the first and only EU leader to back his bid for presidency during the election.
Kamala Harris has described Donald Trump’s promise to protect women whether they “like it or not” as “offensive to everybody”.
Speaking to a media gaggle in Wisconsin today, the vice president hit out at the remarks made by Mr Trump at a rally last night (see 14.50 post).
“It’s just, it actually is, I think, very offensive to women in terms of not understanding their agency, their authority, their right and their ability to make decisions about their own lives, including their own bodies,” she said.
She later added that it was “offensive to everybody,” not just women.
Just one in three Americans feel excited for election day, new research suggests.
