U.S. News & World Report released its 2025-2026 list of 504 Best Regional Hospitals that have “demonstrated superior outcomes,” including two in New Hampshire.
Nationally, the company analyzed performance data from 4,400 hospitals using factors such as nursing care, avoidable complications, and risk-adjusted mortality rates.
Different procedures and care plans were considered and rated one of three ways: high performing, as expected, or evaluated.
New Hampshire is ranked 12th in the country for healthcare, based on factors such as care access, quality, and public health outcomes, the media company says.
Of the 31 hospitals evaluated in New Hampshire, two were ranked as Best Regional Hospitals for 2025-2026, according to U.S. News & World Report:
Nearby, two Massachusetts hospitals were listed in the top 10 in the country – Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
