It’s usually Barron Trump whose height sparks curiosity online. This time, though, it’s President Donald Trump after a World Cup final video showed Spain soccer star Rodri appearing noticeably taller than the president, despite both men reportedly standing 6-foot-3.
The clip, shared by the White House’s Rapid Response account on X after the FIFA World Cup final on July 19, quickly fueled fresh debate about Trump’s height. The renewed scrutiny comes after similar questions surfaced during past appearances alongside other public figures, including Prince William.
Rodri, 30, stands 6 feet 3 inches tall, according to ESPN, the same height listed for Trump in a physical examination released by the White House in April 2025. Despite the identical measurements, many online observers said Rodri appeared several inches taller during the trophy presentation.
The White House did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for a comment on July 20.
The World Cup clip is the latest in a series of moments that have prompted questions about Trump’s listed height.
Questions have also been raised about Trump’s height in photos alongside Britain’s Prince William. Both men are widely reported to be 6 feet 3 inches tall, but some images have led viewers to speculate otherwise.
Trump’s April 2025 physical examination, conducted by White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella, listed the president at 6 feet 3 inches tall.
That would make him one of the taller presidents in U.S. history. However, viral photos and videos have repeatedly sparked online debate over whether his actual height matches official records.
Regardless of the debate surrounding Trump’s height, members of the Trump family are frequently noted for being taller than average.
Barron Trump, in particular, has become a recurring subject of online fascination because of his height, often towering over both of his parents during public appearances.
