President Donald Trump has upped his attacks on the Democratic lawmakers who posted a video telling service members to “refuse illegal orders.”
Trump shared several screenshots of social media posts criticizing the lawmakers on Sunday afternoon. In one Truth Social post, Trump shared a screenshot of a post referring to the Democratic Party as a “Domestic Terrorist party.” In another post, Trump shared a screenshot in which a social media user appeared to call the lawmakers “traitorous communists.”
Trump called for the Democratic lawmakers to be jailed in a pair of late-night Truth Social posts on Saturday. This comes after he claimed Thursday the video was “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL,” and in another post claimed such behavior is “punishable by DEATH.”
The Democratic lawmakers responded to Trump’s threats on Thursday, writing that what’s “most telling is that the President considers it punishable by death for us to restate the law.” Trump later claimed he was “not threatening death,” but thinks “they’re in serious trouble.”
Senator Elissa Slotkin, who appeared in the video, told ABC News on Sunday that she thinks Trump is “trying to get us to shut up because he doesn’t want to be talking about this.” Representative Jason Crow, who was also in the video, told CBS News that Trump’s response has been “very disturbing.”

On Truth Social this week, Trump labelled the video “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR,” and at one point claimed that sedition is “punishable by DEATH.”
“He’s trying to get us to shut up because he doesn’t want to be talking about this,” Slotkin said Sunday on ABC News’ This Week.
“In fact, I would argue that one of the things that he’s been doing by repeating it and talking about it is trying to distract us from the big stories of last week, which were the [Jeffrey] Epstein files and then the economy,” she added.
The U.S. agreed to make “some changes” to its contentious peace proposal to end the war in Ukraine today, following talks that both parties praised as a success.

Representative Jason Crow, a Democrat from Colorado, spoke with CBS News today about the threats he’s received after President Donald Trump accused him and other lawmakers of “seditious behavior.”
Trump accused a group of Democratic lawmakers, which included Crow, of “seditious behavior” after they filmed a video calling on service members to “refuse illegal orders” this week.
CBS News Correspondent Margaret Brennan asked Crow about threats he had received since, and if any of them were credible.
“We don’t know, Margaret, we’re going to take these seriously, but it’s very disturbing stuff when you have the President of the United States threatening to execute and to hang and to arrest using this rhetoric, people listen to it,” Crow replied.
This comes after Crow said that a bomb threat was made against his office in Aurora, Colorado, on Friday.

“His words carry tremendous weight, more so than anybody else in the country, and he should be aware of that, and because of what he says, there is now increased threats against us,” Kelly said Sunday.

FBI Director Kash Patel was pictured in a pink Lego Cadillac ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Saturday, amidst growing criticism over his personal trips and spending of taxpayer dollars.
Patel and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem were pictured in the life-size Lego car, as well as on the red carpet with Formula One CEO Stefano Domenicali before the race, Reuters reported.
Although it was not immediately clear how either of the senior Trump officials had traveled to the event in Las Vegas, where Patel has a home, critics were quick to blast his previous use of public resources.
