TROY’s online programs in business, criminal justice, education and nursing were recognized in the annual rankings.
Several Troy University online programs have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report in its 2026 Best Online Degree Programs rankings released this week.
TROY’s online programs in business, criminal justice, education and nursing were recognized among the nation’s best, along with the University’s overall online undergraduate offerings.
U.S. News assessed schools based on student engagement, faculty credentials, services and technologies, evaluating online programs at more than 1,850 institutions. The rankings include only degree-granting programs offered primarily online by regionally accredited institutions.
TROY’s master’s in nursing program ranked 23rd in Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs for Veterans, and the online bachelor’s program in psychology ranked 32nd in the country. The Master’s in Criminal Justice Programs (54th), Master’s in Nursing Programs (98th) and Master of Business Administration Programs for Veterans (88th) all ranked within the top 100.
The University’s online bachelor’s programs were recognized 117th overall and 74th for Veterans. The rankings also recognized TROY’s online bachelor’s in business, master’s in business (excluding MBA), master’s in education and Master of Business Administration programs.

The U.S. News and World Report online program rankings were the latest recognitions received by the University. TROY was previously recognized by U.S. and World Report as one of the best regional universities in the South, and for the 21st year in a row, the University was included among the best colleges and universities in the South by The Princeton Review.
