Whether it’s for cyclosporiasis or any number of major conditions, if you need serious medical care, it’s good to know the top options ahead of time.
On Tuesday, U.S. News & World Report announced the latest edition of its best hospital rankings. This included its regional lists, which ranks Georgia’s best facilities. Here’s what we know:
Emory made it into the national rankings in four specialties: Neurology/neurosurgery at No. 28, geriatrics at No. 38, urology at No. 39, cancer at No. 45.
Emory is hiring for a variety of positions, including some openings at Emory University Hospital. They can be found at emoryhealthcare.org/careers.
U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s performance based on measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and patient experience. The specialty, procedures, and conditions rankings measured patient outcomes using data from over 800 million records of patient care.
This year, risk-adjusted outcome measures play a larger and more dominant role in determining the rankings and ratings.
