Switzerland and co-hosts Canada are level at half-time in their World Cup clash.
Both teams are virtually guaranteed a place in the round of 32, but victory here would secure the preferred route through the knockout phase as group winners.
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s match against Qatar in Seattle kicked off at the same time, with Bosnia leading 2-1.
On ITV co-commentary in the UK, former Scotland striker Ally McCoist says: "There's only so many words you can use from the English language to sum up a bang-average 45 minutes." Can't disagree.
Feels like a classic case of neither side knowing whether to stick or twist right now. It's been scrappy and is getting a little bit feisty (without boiling over… yet). It's lacking quality though, let's be fair.
This was never the strongest group on paper but Canada winning it would still be a huge achievement. The result as it stands suits them just fine — a draw or a win will see them win the group.
It's half time in the other match currently underway in this group and Bosnia hols a 2-1 lead against Qatar.
As things stand, Canada would still win the group if nothing changes for the next 45 minutes.
At the tone of four bells across the stadium signalling a score update, the crowd groans. Quietly, there is fear with a Canada loss and a big time Bosnia win, Canada could finish third in the group.
The crowd roars once they see the update: Qatar has scored.
HT’ Switzerland 0-0 Canada
There is the whistle and we've reached the interval.
In truth this has not been a great game in a World Cup that has already produced plenty of great games.
It is a bit disjointed. Embolo's shot, saved excellently by Crepeau, has been the closest thing to a goal.
Larin and Ahmed have had Canada's best chances but haven't made the most pf them.
Incredible pass from Jonathan David to Ali Ahmed. Moving the ball right to left was fantastic as David was able to find some space behind the backline. But Ahmed just couldn't complete the finish.
This match has plenty of bite now, with a few 50-50s and crunching challenges provoking reactions from players.
Spicy.
41’ Switzerland 0-0 Canada
Another chance for Canada and this one is better as the work the ball from right to left for Ahmed on the edge of the area.
But he tries to guide his shot past Kobel and he fails to generate any power. An easy save down to the keeper's right.
40’ Switzerland 0-0 Canada
Now Canada win a free-kick wide on their left flank and it's cleared as far as Johnston, whose long-range shot is a long way off target.
38’ Switzerland 0-0 Canada
Switzerland win a free-kick around 25 yards from the Canada goal and it's their star, Xhaka, who takes responsibility.
He tries to whip it over the wall and down under the crossbar with his left foot.
He gets the first part right but the second part badly wrong!
33’ Switzerland 0-0 Canada
Canada's clearest sight of goal so far as they work the ball to Larin on the edge of the Switzerland box.
He cuts in onto his right foot but his effort is tame and it's an easy save for Kobel, diving down to his left.
31’ Switzerland 0-0 Canada
An element of farce as Switzerland's Xhaka and Canada's Larin are both booked.
Xhaka tries to kick the ball, Larin boots it away, Xhaka catches him (just) in his follow through and Larin throws himself to the ground.
Not a great look all round!
Canada hopes the hydration break can be a change of momentum. They are fortunate to not be down a goal had it not been for Max Crepeau’s goalkeeping heroics.
During the break, the TSN broadcast shows Ismael Kone on the sideline having a conversation with Nathan Saliba.
A *very* impassioned Jesse Marsch team talk during this lame hydration break. And it follows with Stephen Eustaquio giving what looked like equally impassioned tactical advice to Jonathan David.
27’ Switzerland 0-0 Canada
Vargas catches Johnston a little late and Jesse Marsch immediately shows his displeasure.
The officials just give it as a free-kick, though.
First hydration break and there are boos at Canada Soccer House. This fan immediately with the thumbs down but it gives people here a breather and to replenish the food and beverages.
23’ Switzerland 0-0 Canada
Midway through the second half, the players pause for a drink.
The fans boo, as has become customary in this World Cup.
Not much between the teams so far. That Crepeau save from Embolo has been the main moment of note.
At first it looked baffling how Larin could make such a hash of that but it soon became clear that he was massively offside in the build-up. Spared some of his blushes, at least.
