Paris Saint-Germain are leading Real Madrid 3-0 in today’s 2025 Club World Cup semifinal at MetLife Stadium.
PSG made a stunning start to the game, with Fabian Ruiz scoring twice either side of a cool Ousmane Dembele finish. The winners will play Chelsea in Sunday’s final.

It has been a better second half for Real Madrid. But A, what preceded couldn't have been much worse and B, it feels like PSG haven't felt the need to press the second-half accelerator.
Madrid still haven't created a big chance in the match.

Another small bit of positive news for Madrid: Dani Carvajal is back after his serious knee injury in October. As with Militao, it would have been normal for them not to have returned during this tournament, but Alonso has taken advantage of the result to reward their efforts. The coach himself had said that Camavinga was the one who had a chance and was the closest to play in the tournament.
Two minutes after coming on, Carvajal is booked.

Dani Carvajal replaces Gonzalo Garcia. A defender on for a forward. Real Madrid have seemingly abandoned any hope of pulling this game back.
It just hasn't happened at all for Real Madrid today. They have had more of the ball and a little bit of the momentum since the substitutions started being made, but they are still not hurting PSG. The Parisians are coasting into their first Club World Cup final.

Barcola breaks into the Madrid box from the left wing but the play is called back for handball. PSG are still pressing for more goals here.

PSG make another double change, as Senny Mayulu replaces Desire Doue and Warren Zaire-Emery replaces Fabian Ruiz.

A driving run from Bellingham was his last action of the game. Mbappe was furious that Bellingham opted to shoot rather than pass at the end of it. Kind of sums up the disconnect in the Real Madrid team.
Not difficult to see messages and warnings being sent from Alonso to the three players he replaced. Vinicius, Bellingham and Asencio have all been really poor.
Is this the last time we see Luka Modric in a Real Madrid shirt? Probably. The 2018 Ballon d'Or winner is leaving the club at the end of this tournament which, on current evidence, will be in half an hour's time.
At least one bit of good news for Real Madrid: Militao is back in action after his serious knee injury in November.
64' Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Real Madrid
Xabi Alonso makes three changes: Eder Militao for Raul Asencio, Luka Modric for Jude Bellingham, and Brahim Diaz for Vinicius Junior.
Bellingham and Vinicius Jr leaving feels like Alonso waving the white flag.

In the last 16 months, Luis Enrique's PSG have beaten Barcelona 4-1 in the Champions League, Atletico Madrid 4-0 at the start of this Club World Cup and now today’s complete dismantling of Real Madrid.
All those games were coaching triumphs too — the former Spain coach is definitely enjoying showing La Liga clubs what he can do.
61' Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Real Madrid
Slight chaos in the PSG box for a moment nearly allows Madrid to steal a goal back, but they manage to scramble the ball away to safety. A Madrid forward goes down in the box but the referee isn't interested.
59' Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Real Madrid
Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are replaced by Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos.
Lots of applause from those wearing Real Madrid jerseys for the departing duo. I'm not sure they would have gotten the same reception if this were at the Bernabeu, but these American Madrid fans were keen to show their appreciation.
If I was one of those Real Madrid defenders, I wouldn't be keen on seeing Bradley Barcola getting stripped and ready to come on.
I am not one of those Real Madrid defenders though, so I'm looking forward to seeing what damage he can do.
57' Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Real Madrid
Kvaratskhelia cuts inside from the left and curls a shot towards the far post, but just misses the target.
PSG haven't shown any signs of being content with only three goals yet.

The problem with Alexander-Arnold's injury isn't just that they have lost the former Liverpool right-back from the team, but they have also lost Valverde from midfield. The Uruguayan has been one of their best players in this tournament and is really wasted out on the right-hand side. Alonso has tried to bring him back into midfield in possession in this second half, but PSG are still seeing more of the ball.
53' Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Real Madrid
Mbappe plays a one-two with Valverde on the edge of the PSG box before lashing a first-time shot towards goal, but he skies his effort into row Z.
Wouldn’t surprise me to see Joao Neves taken off in the next few minutes. He was booked late in the first half, the only PSG player to have been so far, and was just penalised for a foul there. No need for PSG to take any risks at this point, surely.
