European giants Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are facing off at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia in the quarter-final of the Club World Cup.
Jamal Musiala suffered a significant injury to his right ankle at the end of the first half.
Given the strength of these two teams, whoever wins this tie will be well fancied to go all the way. The victor will face Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund in Wednesday's semi-final.

Such a shame for Jamal Musiala. I don't think there's any doubt in anyone's mind who saw it that he will be facing an extended spell on the sidelines.
The 22-year-old is a joy to watch, so it is horrible to see him face another setback.

With Musiala surrounded by physios by both teams, referee Anthony Taylor calls for half-time.
A horrible end to a really good first half with Musiala looking in real trouble with a bad right ankle injury.

Oh, that's a bad one.
Musiala, looking to latch onto the ball inside the penalty area, was beaten to it by Donnarumma and the Italian cleaned up the Bayern midfielder in the process.
Certainly not a foul and certainly no intent, but Musiala's ankle looked to be very seriously injured and the reaction of the players around him very quickly confirmed that.

Bayern think have found the opening goal, but they are swiftly denied by the assistant referee's offside flag.
It was a brilliant set-piece delivery from Olise that was met by a thumping header into the bottom corner by Upamecano. But every Bayern player in the penalty area was offside, so a very simple decision that one.

Will we see an opening goal before half-time?
The teams have got three more minutes to find one.

Consider me impressed by Bayern so far. There remain many doubts about Vincent Kompany’s ability to coach in these games, against really high-powered opponents who can’t just be knocked over by his side’s superior individual ability.
This has been good though; Bayern looking solid enough and carrying a threat.

Bayern are really knocking on the PSG door and Donnarumma had to be alert there to keep out a cross headed for the bottom corner.
The cross from Pavlovic was a beauty, just enough to tease it into a dangerous area but enough to keep it away from the PSG defenders and goalkeeper.
Donnarumma was expecting a touch from Musiala, so then had to spring to his left to claw it away when the Bayern midfielder completely missed it.
That's the closest we've come to the opening goal — great work from the Italian to keep it out.

Superb work from Kingsley Coman on the left-hand side. He twisted and turned past Joao Neves, leaving the Portugal international chasing shadows before aiming an equally great cross into the box.
Kane had done well to shake off Pacho, but his header from a good position was far from his best and flew half a yard over the bar.

We have out first substitution of the match and it is one that Kompany has been forced into.
Stanisic was unable to shake off an issue that he picked up earlier in the game and he has been replaced by Sacha Boey.

Kvaratskhelia is so much fun to watch — and so hard to defend against.
A moment ago, he isolated Dayot Upamecano and breezed past him like he wasn't there, holding him off with relative ease as he broke into the penalty area.
Kvaratskhelia then went for a goal from the tight angle and Neuer's initial save kept him interested as it dropped back into the six-yard box, but the Bayern goalkeeper did just enough to clear the danger.

The PSG fans inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium all go up in a collective appeal for a penalty. Doue was nudged over to the ground in the penalty by Jonathan Tah.
There was definitely contact, but you would be very lucky to see a penalty given for that.
Anthony Taylor gave it no consideration and his on-field call by backed up by his colleagues in VAR.

Just as PSG looked to be building some momentum, Bayern almost hit them on the break at the other end — this has been a fascinating start to this quarter-final.
Olise, who has looked so dangerous at this tournament, burst into the penalty area and went for the top corner on his weaker right foot. It was a super strike but the angle was against him and Donnarumma flew across to his right to tip it over the crossbar.

Bradley Barcola, rumored to be linked with a move to Bayern Munich, is an absolute joy to watch.
What a player he is. So tricky and creative and very brash when he's on the ball.
He's worth the price of admission.

Bradley Barcola is the man with the pressure of knowing that he is keeping Dembele out of the starting XI and he is keen to make his mark on the match.
The young Frenchman got everyone of a PSG persuasion inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium on their feet with some brilliant footwork on the right-hand side.
He worked the ball to the left wing and the European champions launched an attack. That ended with the ball being pulled back to the edge of the box — thanks in part to the covering Bayern defender slipping over — but Fabian Ruiz sent his left-footed effort a long way over the crossbar.
PSG starting to really get a foothold now.

That's more like from PSG, much more like it.
Patient passing soon gave way to their typically brilliantly press-resistant movement and Hakimi had nothing but green grass to run into on the right wing.
He threaded a low cross across the penalty area — which probably wasn't the right option — and it reached Kvaratskhelia at the far post. By the time it got to the Georgian, the box was crowded and the angle was tight so he could only shoot into the side netting.
That was the best moment of the match for PSG.

I can't remember seeing this PSG team look so flustered in the early stages of a match in a long, long time.
The best illustration of how much pressure Bayern are putting them under is that the Parisians have already abandoned passing the ball out from the back via Donnarumma.
Good game management from the European champions amid a strong Bayern start.

The first contentious of the decision of the match with Josip Stanisic really unhappy with the call of Anthony Taylor and his assistant referee.
The Bayern Munich left-back snapped into a full-blooded sliding challenge on Achraf Hakimi and seemed to win the ball cleanly before catching the PSG right-back with his trailing leg.
It looked like a strong tackle initially but the replays showed that he won the ball cleanly, which explains his frustration. The ensuing free kick came to nothing, in any case.
10' PSG 0-0 Bayern Munich
Vincent Kompany was respectful yesterday after being peppered with questions about the prowess of PSG.
Bayern have come out as aggressors in this first 10 minutes. I imagine the team talk from Kompany and Bayern's leaders was quite spirited. PSG have been on the back foot, lacking sharpness.
9' PSG 0-0 Bayern Munich
Vincent Kompany will be happy with how his players have started here. They have been up and at the European champions and have forced a few errors.
Olise and Konrad Laimer combined nicely to pinch the ball on the right-hand side and the latter was freed down the right-hand side. He got into the penalty area and had options to pick out, but his cross was dreadful and went straight out of play.
Harry Kane, as you can imagine, was not happy with the service.
