Pokémon Day has arrived, and with it comes a new Pokémon Presents, hosted by Tsunekazu Ishihara, President and CEO of The Pokémon Company. The presentation features news and updates from throughout the world of Pokémon, including information about the upcoming video games Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves, as well as updates on Pokémon Champions and Pokémon Pokopia, the rerelease of Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version, and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness coming to Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics.
Additionally, there are updates about Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, Pokémon UNITE, Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Sleep, and Pokémon Café Remix. There were also more details revealed for PokémonXP and the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, as well as details on the Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue Game Music Collection: Game Boy Jukebox.

We got our first look at the Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves games, two upcoming entries in the Pokémon RPG series, coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2. In addition to a look at the games’ main characters, we got a peek at a pair of special Pikachu with a brand-new look. Not only that, but the new first partner Pokémon were also revealed. Which of these adorable Pokémon will you choose to accompany you on this new adventure—through an open world of windswept islands and an ocean of glittering waves?

Pokémon Champions is set to launch on Nintendo Switch in April 2026, and fans who download the game early will receive a Dragonite in their in-game mailbox. There will also be a special campaign where players can obtain Mega Stones for Pokémon that Mega Evolve in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. More details regarding Pokémon HOME connectivity and how it affects trained Pokémon, and helpful characters in-game can be found on the official Pokémon Champions website.

A new Pokémon Pokopia video was revealed in the Pokémon Presents broadcast. We got a first look at Stereo Rotom, a stereo-shaped form of Rotom that other Pokémon call DJ Rotom. If you give it one of the CDs you find during your adventures, it’ll play music for you. A special Greedent was also shown, who will teach you how to cook and serve dishes that other Pokémon prefer.
You can share the wonders of your town with friends, too. Play with up to three other people and visit their towns—or invite them to your own! Play games such as hide-and-seek or work together to build impressive objects in your world.

Lumiose City is getting another powerhouse Mega-Evolved Pokémon as Mega Garchomp Z makes its debut in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension.
Additionally, Trainers will soon be able to link Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Pokémon HOME. Send Pokémon you’ve caught and trained in Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Pokémon HOME and add select Pokémon from past Pokémon video games to your Pokémon Legends: Z-A team.
To get started, Trainers who transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Z-A to the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME will receive an alpha Chikorita, alpha Tepig, and alpha Totodile as Mystery Gifts on the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME.

Pokémon Global Esports and Events Director Chris Brown confirmed that competitors in the Video Game World Championships will battle in Pokémon Champions. Their fellow competitors will battle in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE.
All finals matches will be held at the Chase Center, an arena that’s three times the size of the venue where the 2025 World Championships finals took place. Over three thousand players will battle in San Francisco this August to become the next World Champions!
Additionally, the inaugural PokémonXP will take place alongside Worlds at the Moscone Center. Fans of all ages can expect fun activities, including interactive exhibits, pin trading, cosplay showcases, unique panels, hands-on workshops, an on-site Pokémon Center store, and exciting partner collaborations—something for everyone.
To celebrate this new experience, a special art piece illustrates the debut of PokémonXP alongside the highly anticipated World Championships.

A new audio player, the Game Boy Jukebox, has been revealed, letting Pokémon fans embark on an audio journey of the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue video games that released in 1998 for Game Boy. The Game Boy Jukebox looks and sounds identical to a Game Boy system, and it comes with 45 cartridges that you can insert to listen to songs and sound effects. Look for its arrival at the Pokémon Center soon!
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is dealing out limited-time missions and special rewards for Pokémon Day. From Friday, February 27, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. PST to Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:59 p.m. PDT, log in to Pokémon TCG Pocket to collect your rewards.
