Nearly 2,900 nursing homes across the country received varying U.S. News Best Nursing Home designations this year.
The latest rankings evaluated a total of nearly 15,000 U.S. nursing homes and recognized fewer than 19% as “Best Nursing Homes” in “Short-Term Rehabilitation,” “Long-Term Care” or both. Experts recommend that Maryland residents looking to evaluate nursing homes should check a range of public and private-sector quality rankings, including the one released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, or CMS.
