Little League World Series live weather updates: All Day 2 games rescheduled – USA Today

Little League baseball fans that were eagerly anticipating the debut of eight teams on Day 2 of the Little League World Series – will have to wait a little longer.
Inclement weather forced Little League to postpone all four games Thursday, Aug. 20 and subsequently move them to Friday, Aug. 21, which will create an 8-game mega schedule for that day.  
USA TODAY Sports will provide game-by-game coverage on Friday, Aug. 21 and any other developments in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Friday’s forecast doesn’t call for any rain.
“Mostly sunny; dense fog will burn off this morning, then warmer this afternoon; a nice afternoon for baseball,” per Accuweather.
It’s just too wet to play in Williamsport. Little League International announced at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, that all Day 2 games had been rescheduled to Friday, Aug. 21, after steady rains soaked the grounds. Here’s a look at the full schedule for Friday (all times Eastern):
According to a release, ESPN will not broadcast Games 5 and 6.

As 5 p.m. ET nears, Accuweather radar shows rain continuing to fall over Williamsport, though wet, soggy conditions persist, leaving the night’s game in question. Little League International has not updated the status of the night’s scheduled games since 2 p.m. ET.
Due to the impact of expected inclement weathers in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and to provide the best playing experience for all teams, Games 5 and 6 have been moved to 6 p.m. ET. 
The schedule for Games 7 and 8, as well as the other games planned to play on Friday, August 21, will be shared later this evening as the weather progresses. 
Thursday, August 20
The Little League World Series Fan Zone will be closed on Thursday, August 20, due to the inclement weather – Little League said in a statement.
Little League has announced a weather delay for the games today. The revised schedule has two games starting at 3 p.m. and two games starting at 6 p.m. – weather permitting
On June 1, the Sweetwater Valley Little League All-Stars and their manager, Steve Winnick, gathered in Bonita, Calif. for the first day of practice.
The Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, came up.
“I said we have what it takes to not only go to the Williamsport but to win it all,’’ Winnick told USA TODAY Sports. “But you guys have to trust each other, gel with each other, do all the things that we need to do to get there.’’
