Fluminense are leading Inter 1-0 in the Club World Cup round of 16 in Charlotte thanks to German Cano's headed goal in the third minute.
The Italians topped Group E while the Brazilian side finished runners-up to Borussia Dortmund in Group F. The winner of this tie will face Manchester City or Al Hilal in the quarter-final.

45+1' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
Slightly surprising to see the number seven illuminated on the fourth official's electronic board, I'm not sure how the referee has decided that amount of stoppage time.
But we are where we are and Inter have plenty of time to try to equalise before half-time.

This has been a pretty dismal Inter performance so far.
A moment ago, they looked to break forward and their passing was nice until they reached the halfway line when Martinez backheeled the ball straight to an opposing defender.
It allowed Fluminense to break quickly, but Arias was wasteful with his effort, firing it a long over the crossbar.

Oh, that is such a shame.
That was probably the passing move of the tournament with Fluminense playing three or four aerial passes, ending with centre-back Ignacio heading in from a few yards out.
It was a brilliant, brilliant move but the goalscorer was in an offside position when he latched onto the final pass and VAR swiftly disallowed the goal.
Another real let-off for Inter.
39' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
Like yesterday's clash between Bayern Munich and Flamengo, this is descending into a bit of disciplinary chaos.
Alessandro Bastoni is the latest player to be shown a yellow card, despite his protestations. And he will also miss the quarter-final if Inter get there.
37' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
Nicolo Barella has been excellent for Inter in these early stages. Dropping into pockets to receive the ball and dictate Inter’s possession.
Even if he is not on the ball, he is pointing to team-mates to let them know where to pass it.

The one player who has been impressive for Inter today is Barella.
Ever the midfield general, the Italian has been playing on his own out there for the Italians.
A moment ago, he burst towards the penalty area and was taken out by a pretty nasty challenge from Rene. A very sore one for the Inter midfielder and a yellow card followed for Fluminense's left wing-back who will miss the quarter-final if his side get through.

34' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
This game is playing right into Fluminense's hands so far. The early goal has given them a chance to settle back into a defensive system and look to strike on the counter-attack.
31' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
Cristian Chivu will be mightily relieved that Xavier missed that chance — he is now speaking to his players at the first cooling break of the match.
The beaten Champions League finalists are rather fortunate to only be a goal behind at the half-hour mark.
30' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
That was the moment for Fluminense to double their lead!
Sommer's poor start to the game continues as he spilt a fairly routine effort from Arias right back into the danger zone where Samuel Xavier had reacted quickest to get to the rebound.
Unfortunately for the Brazilians, it was a real right-back's finish as Xavier dragged the rebound wide of the target from close range.
27' Inter 0-0 Fluminense
Ooo, that was very close to an Inter penalty.
Juan Freytes arrived late to a challenge on Matteo Darmian and stood on the former Manchester United full-back's toes as he looked to move into the penalty area. Fortunately for the Fluminense defender, it was about half a yard outside the box, so just a free kick for the Italians, although Freytes was then booked.
And that free kick was drilled into straight into the two-man wall by Dimarco. Poor.
24' Inter 0-0 Fluminense
Phwoar, that a proper challenge from Thiago Silva.
He had seemingly had enough of Marcus Thuram driving the heart of the Fluminense team, so thundered into an immaculately timed sliding tackle on the Frenchman.
After having his protests waved away, Thuram dusted himself off and then latched onto another brilliant lofted pass from Barella but fired well over with his left-footed volley.

21' Inter 0-0 Fluminense
This game is following a similar pattern to Inter’s clash with Urawa Red Diamonds.
An organised block for the opposition that Cristian Chivu’s side are tasked with breaking down. They need to move the ball quickly to shift Fluminense’s shape quicker.
19' Inter 0-0 Fluminense
There's plenty of blame to be spread among Inter's defenders for that goal — De Vrij for losing the ball to Martinelli, Bastoni not quite aggressive enough in closing down Arias, Dumfries and Darmian for not reacting quickly enough to the deflection — but I don't know how a goalkeeper as accomplished as Yann Sommer has watched that ball loop up and bounce two yards in front of him and still be beaten to it by Cano.
17' Inter 0-0 Fluminense
The yellow card is back out and it has been shown to Fluminense's goalscorer.
Barella did brilliantly to win the ball back in midfield before moving clear of Jhon Arias who dragged him back as he looked to get away.
It looked initially as if the yellow card was going to be shown to the Colombian, but it was instead offered in Cano's direction, presumably for something he said to referee Ivan Barton.
15' Inter 0-0 Fluminense
Inter have been much better in the last 10 minutes since conceding the opener, although they couldn't have been any worse.
They are now moving the ball nicely and dictating the tempo but their start to the game was inexcusable and has given them something of a mountain to climb.
A quick response would make that a lot easier as Fluminense, defending with a back five, will just drop deeper and deeper towards their own goal as this game goes on.
12' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
Nearly a very nice equaliser for Inter.
Nicolo Barella's cross-field ball over the top of Fluminense was typically sublime and Henrik Mkhitaryan did superbly to bring the ball down while running at full tilt and then did even better to hold off the defender and roll it back to Federico Dimarco.
The marauding Inter wing-back's effort was well struck but he was always going to struggle on his left foot from there and Fabio beat it away with relative ease.

9' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
Ouch. A crunching early challenge from Kristjan Asllani on Nonato and one that the Inter midfielder actually came out worse from.
Him writhing around in pain on the turf did not stop the referee from showing him the game's first yellow card, though. And that means Asllani will miss the quarter-final if Inter turn this last-16 tie around.
8' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
The perfect start for Fluminense. Matheus Martinelli stole the ball from Stefan de Vrij on Fluminense's right wing and nudged the ball out to Jhon Arias, whose cross deflected off Alessandro Bastoni and bounced into the path of Cano, who stooped to head home the bouncing ball.
Poor defending from Inter.
6' Inter 0-1 Fluminense
German Cano is inevitable. If you don't know about the Argentine-born striker's prolific career, I suggest you look him up now.
