Alabama softball is one step closer to a Women’s College World Series championship.
With a 6-3 win over UCLA on Thursday, May 28, the No. 1 overall-seeded Crimson Tide secured a matchup with No. 4 seed Nebraska to advance through the winners bracket at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
Nebraska battled for a 5-3 win over No. 5 seed Arkansas through 10 innings in Thursday’s nightcap.
Alabama is 3-0 over Nebraska since 2010, most recently punching its ticket to the 2014 Women’s College World Series with a series win over Nebraska.

First pitch of Alabama softball vs. Nebraska is at 6 p.m. CT Saturday, May 30. If Alabama beats Nebraska, the Crimson Tide will face either UCLA or the loser of Texas Tech vs. Tennessee on Monday, June 1. If Alabama loses, it will face Texas on Sunday, May 31.
