The Hamilton West Side Little League All-Stars’ winning streak in the Little League World Series came to an end on Saturday.
Henderson, Nevada beat West Side 12-2 in five innings to win the U.S. Championship at Lamade Stadium in South Williamsport, Pa.
Henderson took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning before West Side tied it 1-1 in the top of the second. But Henderson used a five-run performance in the bottom of the second to take a commanding lead.
West Side’s best chance came in the top of the fourth, when it was down 6-2 and had the bases loaded with two outs, but a flyout ended in the inning.
Henderson then scored six runs combined in the fourth and fifth innings to end it.
West Side will play one more game, against Japan in the consolation third-place game at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Henderson will play Curacao in the championship game at 3 p.m. Sunday.

West Side dropped its opening game to Nevada 6-5, on Friday, Aug. 21, but won five straight games to advance to the U.S. title game.
They beat New England representative Bridgewater, Mass. 10-0 on Saturday and followed with a 6-1 victory Southwest representative Boerne, Texas on Monday. West Side beat Bayonne, N.J. 5-2 on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, they beat Phenix City, Ala. 11-2 and followed that with a 7-1 victory over Davenport, Iowa on Thursday to advance to the U.S. Championship for the first time since 2021.
West Side is making its sixth Little League World Series appearance. They previously advanced in 1991, 1993, 2007, 2010 and 2021.
