FIFA's 'last-minute' tickets for World Cup matches on sale today – The Patriot Ledger

April 22, 2026 by quixnet

If you haven’t yet snagged tickets for seats at Gillette Stadium for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup matches this summer, you’ll soon have another chance.
This morning, FIFA will release additional tickets for all 104 matches in the upcoming men’s World Cup, coinciding with the “Last-Minute Sales” phase of World Cup ticketing.
“At the start of sale, tickets will be available across categories 1 to 3 and the front-row seat categories, depending on the match,” FIFA said in a prepared statement. “Along with this set of tickets, additional tickets will continue to be released to the public on an ongoing basis up until the final on Sunday, 19 July (subject to availability).”
Tickets are set to go on sale at 11 a.m. eastern time. Once sales begin, tickets will be available on FIFA’s website.
“Given the nature of first-come, first-served sales and as in previous periods of high traffic, fans can expect digital queues, which allow FIFA to improve the user experience once fans are admitted,” according to FIFA. “Users will be able to see the matches and categories for which tickets are available, select specific seats and proceed with their purchase, and they will receive confirmation once payment is completed.”‘
More than five million tickets have already been sold for the upcoming tournament, according to FIFA.
Boston Stadium will have five group stage matches, a round of 32 match and a quarterfinal match. Here’s a look at the schedule:
Boston Stadium is located in Foxborough, which is southwest of Boston and has a population of about 18,615, according to Census Reporter. Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium, which is the home stadium for the New England Patriots, is about 29 miles southwest of Boston. The stadium is also adjacent to Patriot Place, a shopping, dining and entertainment center.
In total, there are 16 cities hosting matches in this year’s World Cup, split between Canada, Mexico and the United States. We’ve included the FIFA name for the stadium – the closest major city – and what the stadium is called through branding rights.
Here’s a look at the cities with matches on the docket:
