U.S. Soccer and Nike unveiled the 2026 U.S. Soccer National Team uniforms, which will be worn by all 27 teams, including the men’s squad, during the upcoming World Cup hosted by the United States.
The men’s team will sport the kit for the first time later this month in Atlanta. The collection includes two jerseys, a “stars” kit and a “stripes” kit, with a special “Hollywood Goalkeeper” concept for the goalkeeper kit.
“For the first time, the kit design unifies all U.S. Soccer National Teams under one full visual identity, connecting players from youth teams through the senior teams with a shared crest and design,” U.S. Soccer said in a news release announcing the uniforms.
“A national team jersey represents the pride of wearing the crest, not just for players on the field, but also for the fans who support them every step of the way,” U.S. Soccer Chief Commercial Officer Dave Wright said in a statement. “With the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup coming to the United States, we’re excited to see players across all 27 of our National Teams and supporters across the country wearing this kit as we build toward an incredible moment for the game.”
The TODAY hosts modeled their own versions of the jerseys while appearing on the plaza March 16, joined by men’s national team goalkeeper Matt Freese. Freese’s kit is bright green and adorned with stars.
The goalkeeper shared that his favorite part of the new kit is an “inner pride” logo emblazoned on the inside of the jersey. The “hidden detail” is meant to symbolize each player’s personal motivations for representing the U.S.
Nike designed the kits with feedback from players who took part in workshops and listening sessions to give “input on everything from fabric weight to seam placement.” They also gave notes on breathability as the World Cup will be set in the summer with games in cities like Kansas City and Miami.
The 2026 World Cup will be played in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The tournament kicks off June 11 and ends with the final match on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
