Daniel Svensson has given Borussia Dortmund a 1-0 lead against Ulsan HD in their 2025 Club World Cup Group F clash.
The German side will progress to the knockout stages if they avoid defeat, with the South Korean outfit already eliminated.

Oh dear. It’s a comedy of errors for Ulsan at the back.
They needlessly pass the ball around in their own box and eventually — inevitably — they lose it. Ludwigson is crowded off the ball, which runs to Bellingham. He moves forward and tees up Svensson, who smashes the ball past Jo from close range.
Dortmund lead 1-0 and they move to the top of Group F.

Finally!
If you needed any further evidence it’s hot, Gianni Infantino has taken his tie off.
It’s also goalless between Fluminense and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Guirassy missed all the early chances but Bellingham could have had a four-minute hat-trick!
He sees a low shot saved by Jo and then, moments later, slides in at the back stick to meet a cross but fails to divert it goalward.
Ulsan are hanging on.
Time for a cooling break.

Another great chance for Dortmund!
Adeyemi scampers away down the left and hangs a ball across the face of goal. It floats over Jo and Jobe Bellingham is there on the volley … but he blazes over from just inside the box.
Moments later the England youngster is shown a yellow card for a bit of a late lunge in midfield.

What a stunning stop from the South Korea international Jo Hyeon-woo.
Guirassy has had so many opportunities already today but this is the closest he has come to opening the scoring. He’s played through and shoots low, but Jo springs to his left and parries his effort away with one hand.
Fine stop.
25’ Dortmund 0-0 Ulsan
Do not adjust your laptop or mobile phone screen — Ulsan have won a corner.
Bojanic trots over to take it … but goes short and the South Korean side make a right mess of it and end up going all the way back to their goalkeeper, Jo.
Just stick it in the mixer, lads!
22’ Dortmund 0-0 Ulsan
Dortmund have gotten into plenty of good positions so far but they’re lacking a cutting edge.
Adeyemi is the latest to waltz his way through the Ulsan defence but his sidefooted effort is directed straight into the grateful arms of Ulsan goalkeeper Jo.
Vice President of the United States JD Vance is also in attendance today.
17’ Dortmund 0-0 Ulsan
Dortmund win a free kick on the edge of the area and Ryerson and Svensson race to stand over the ball.
Ryerson wins their argument and whips the ball in with his right foot and it’s a fantastic delivery, aimed low at Nmecha.
But, somehow, Nmecha jerks his head out of the way of the ball and it flies out for a goal kick! He should have done much better there.

13’ Dortmund 0-0 Ulsan
Serhou Guirassy has already had three shots on goal but none of them have been on target so far.
His second effort is deflected. He quickly wins the ball back but snatches at the opportunity and blazes it over the bar.
Dortmund are knocking on the door…
It’s everybody’s favorite Swiss-Italian football administrator, Mr Gianni Infantino.
Karim Adeyemi is tripped on the wing and takes a while to get back to his feet. He signals that he’s okay to continue but is still running around a little gingerly.
6’ Dortmund 0-0 Ulsan
Ulsan have barely had a sniff since Gustav Ludwigson’s exploratory run forward in the opening stages. Hopefully that’s not going to be their only attack of the game.
Dortmund have had the ball ever since, shuttling it around their midfield and waiting patiently for an opportunity.
Jobe Bellingham is once again playing in a very advanced role and has been stationed in the final third for most of the game so far.
2’ Dortmund 0-0 Ulsan
Ulsan have made a bright start. Gustav Ludwigson barrels down the left flank before floating a ball across the box. It’s not a bad delivery but Dortmund do well to clear it.
Moments later it’s Dortmund’s time to attack but Guirassy blasts a shot wide at the near post.

It’s another pathetically low attendance, it has to be said.
Ulsan HD get the game started.
… very slowly, it has to be said.
