The Blue Jays are looking for their third World Series title tonight, while the Dodgers are hoping to force a Game 7.
The Dodgers lead 3-1 in the eighth inning. Follow along for updates and analysis from The Athletic’s team of MLB reporters in Game 6.
This might have to be six outs for Roki Sasaki. If not, the Dodgers do have Tyler Glasnow down in the bullpen – but I'd imagine they'd want to preserve him for Game 7 if at all possible.

Yikes. Teoscar Hernández was pretty wound up and chased three fastballs with the bases loaded and a chance to blow the game open
Maybe the bottom of the Jays order has some magic in it. But, you gotta think this eighth inning is Toronto’s best shot. They have the top of the order — George Springer, Nathan Lukes, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. — up against Roki Sasaki.
Lukes and Guerrero saw the Dodgers’ closer in the marathon Game 3.
▶️ HUGE for Seranthony Dominguez, striking out Teoscar Hernandez with the bases loaded two out, ending the inning. That was one heck of a take from Mookie Betts on that full-count pitch to load the bases. That's the Mookie Betts the Dodgers need.

I remember writing this about Shohei the other day. He can take weird-looking swings like that and still do damage.
▶️ Shohei Ohtani got enough bat on the ball, sending it 380 feet to deep center field off the wall. Ohtani is on base with a double and Will Smith is intentionally walked. Here is Freddie Freeman with runners on first and second with one out. | Top 8th Dodgers 3, Blue Jays 1
And thus ends the reign of Louis The XIV.
Roki Sasaki is still warming. The Dodgers might need six outs from him.
▶️ Louis Varland gets Miguel Rojas out with a pop fly to right field. Varland gets four big outs as he exits the game. Mason Fluharty is into the game to face Shohei Ohtani. | Top 8th Dodgers 3, Blue Jays 1

With Roki Sasaki warming to potentially get six outs tonight, you risk not having him available in Game 7. But you worry about that tomorrow. All hands on deck tonight.
The Jays have gotten their hits tonight, but haven’t gotten the big one. They’ve left five on base, the Dodgers two. That’s the difference right now.
Justin Wrobleski worked around a two-out double to put up the biggest scoreless inning of his career to date. Wow. This from a guy who wasn't even on the Dodgers' NLDS roster to start.
▶️ Justin Wrobleski strikes out Andres Gimenez, who leaves Ernie Clement stranded at second. Through seven innings, the Dodgers lead by two. Six outs away. The intensity is going to ramp up as this game barrels toward its conclusion. | Top 8th Dodgers 3, Blue Jays 1
Roki Sasaki is warming, presumably for George Springer's spot.
