At least five people were killed, and five others hospitalized after an Amazon cargo plane overran a runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday, crashing into multiple vehicles and erupting in flames, authorities said.
The Federal Aviation Administration and Amazon confirmed the plane came down striking multiple vehicles. According to Miami-Dade County fire officials, some victims were trapped inside the vehicles and at least three of the wounded are in critical condition.

The experimentation with outdoor games is probably a thing of the past after Nebraska’s match against Missouri at Wrigley Field was delayed twice and finally suspended after just 18 points because of excessive moisture on the court. But 43,000-plus fans showed up for it.
College football
Western Michigan was all set to embarrass the debut of Kyle Whittingham in Ann Arbor when it looked like it secured a 12-7 win. But by some miracle, there was still time left for Michigan to get one last shot, and it capitalized on it with a Hail Mary to save the day. Big Ten officials confirmed the NBC broadcast and the official game clock used in the Big Ten’s replay center were out of sync, resulting in controversy.
