The Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles are tied 1-1 in the 2025 World Series after splitting the first two games at Rogers Centre. The series shifts to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for tonight’s pivotal Game 3.
Solo home runs by Teoscar Hernández and Shohei Ohtani gave the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. Toronto then took a 4-2 lead in the fourth on an Alejandro Kirk three-run home run followed by an Andrés Giménez sacrifice fly.
Ohtani ripped an RBI double in the fifth before Freddie Freeman hit a single to tie the game. Bo Bichette gave the Blue Jays a 5-4 lead with a single in the seventh before Ohtani tied the game in the bottom half with another homer.

▶️ What a catch from Isiah Kiner-Falefa. He makes a long running grab in shallow right field to retire Max Muncy. Now, Teoscar Hernandez is up with two out. | Bottom 12th Blue Jays 5, Dodgers 5

Teoscar Hernández is in the on-deck circle and just talked to the Rays’ Junior Caminero, who is here as an MLB correspondent and came up to the netting with a message.

The Fox broadcast just showed a tearful Ellen Kershaw getting a hug from behind by Tricia Roberts shortly after showing their husbands’ embrace in the Dodgers dugout.
What a way for Clayton Kershaw to (possibly) go out.
Sandy Koufax pitched his last game in the 1966 World Series. He went six innings, allowing only one earned run, in Game 2. The Dodgers went on to lose 6-0 and got swept in four games.
Fitting still, if Koufax and his mentee-turned-friend Clayton Kershaw both pitch their final games in the World Series.
▶️ Braydon Fisher retires Will Smith with a strike out well outside the zone. Amazing relief work from Fisher, who leaves the game for Eric Lauer.

Edgardo Henriquez is up in the Dodgers bullpen.

Tommy Edman really booted a ball earlier, about three hours or three years ago, and has since played brilliantly at second base.
Two perfect throws to cut down runners. A couple sharp plays, including that last tricky one, a bouncer he snagged and flipped with his glove to first base.

That was 18 years of attachment to a player – especially in October – coming out in one moment. There’s activity in the Dodgers bullpen, where only Edgardo Henriquez and Will Klein remain.
It’s so easy to take that pitch 2-2, but chase it 3-2.
One of the great mental blocks of our game.
In his first appearance since Oct. 8, Clayton Kershaw enters a two-out, bases loaded jam, works the count full, and on the eighth pitch of the at-bat, induces a ground out from Nathan Lukes to end the inning. This game has it all.

Clayton Kershaw gets out of it. This place absolutely erupted. If this is it …

Clayton Kershaw is in this game. Not just a red herring. Sandy Koufax is in the stands clapping.

Alejandro Kirk would have been running on the pitch, so it would have been about the same timing. Heineman wasn’t running on the pitch.

Not sure I love Alejandro Kirk being out of this game. But if he were on the bases, he likely would have been either doubled up earlier in the inning or out on that play at third.

I don’t know why Max Muncy played that so conservatively, but now the bases are loaded and here comes Clayton Kershaw.

One team has used its entire bench. The other still has its nine starting position players still in the game. I know which one I’d rather be as this ballgame goes into the deep, dark night, and it’s not the one with Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Tyler Heineman and Myles Straw up later in this turn through the lineup.

▶️ Tyler Heineman was initially called OUT at third because he didn’t slide. But the call is overturned, meaning Heineman is safe.

▶️ Tommy Edman makes the long throw to first to get Ernie Clement out. But Tyler Heineman advances to second base. Andres Gimenez is intentionally walked to bring Davis Schneider to the plate. Very interesting! | Top 12th Blue Jays 5, Dodgers 5
